The Standards Commission is an independent body whose purpose is to encourage high ethical standards in public life through the promotion and enforcement of Codes of Conduct for councillors and those appointed to the boards of devolved public bodies.
Appointment of new Ethical Standards Commissioner

The Standards Commission is pleased to note that the Scottish Parliament had approved the appointment of Ian Bruce, the Acting Commissioner, as the new Ethical Standards Commissioner. We wish Ian every success in the role and look forward to continuing to work with him and his team.
