Standards Commission Meetings
The Members of the Standards Commission for Scotland meet on 10 occasions each year to discuss policy, strategy and to consider Reports submitted by the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland (ESC). The Standards Commission is supported by an Audit & Risk Committee, to ensure appropriate corporate governance and risk management procedures, policies and controls are in place and are effectively managed. In addition, the Standards Commission is also supported by a Human Resources Committee. These Committees, which are advisory only and have no executive powers, meet on three occasions per year and once a year respectively. The Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life (ESC) is invited to meet with the Standards Commission to discuss emerging issues and trends which are identified during review of investigations statistics. These meetings happen four times per year.
